Dirk Großer is a visual artist, performance artist, curator and writer.  He undertakes the art actions, interventions and lecture performances in the field of art, for an understanding of art that is just as relevant for the development and restructuring of society as it is for our perception of the whole world, art as a liberation movement. Dirk Grosser is currently a doctoral student at Jan Evangelista Purkyně University in Ústí nad Labem with his project called Terminal of Freedom.

Terminal of Freedom — How to provide on the field of art an infrastructure and information platform to the following subject: philosophical term of freedom for a society in the making?

The term of freedom is used like an emblem in art and politics. The project aims to provide an infrastructure of lecture performances, installations and art actions around the subject and to install an interactive Terminal of Freedom in the society where people can speak about their own vision of freedom. I will start with a brief introduction of my PhD project, and then continue with the main question, how the final presentation of the Terminal of Freedom could be structured and designed. I will focus especially on the importance of the topic in our society (for example in the situation of crisis), and will specify the methods of my research and its relevance for the conference topic: education with art praxis.
