Creation, method, education

(a speech with Kateřina Dytrtová)

The paper introduces several different approaches of art education as well as examples of good practice. It presents two publications devoted to the theoretical framework of interpretation and creating the meaning of a work of art. The method of analysis is documented both on the example of good practice in younger ages of 7-10 as well as of students of art colleges creating their final exam works or diploma projects. The publications Ko-text and Expression, Relationships and Processes, published by the Faculty of Art and Design of JEPU in Ústí n. L. in collaboration with The Faculty of Education at Charles University, represent the broader art programme which include tasks and art assignments (finish the drawing, finish the painting, roll the dice…). Both publications contain a large number of interactive accompanying art education programmes at the cloud storage. Thanks to this participate concept, Ko-text was awarded a prize in the Most Beautiful Czech Books of 2015 competition.
